A history that dates back to the 1700’s.

Timmermans Jewellers is a family business in every sense of the word and it has been that way for well over 300 years. Of Dutch heritage, Stephen Timmermans is the latest in a very long line of watchmakers and jewellers, who have passed down their knowledge from generation to generation. Indeed it was Stephen’s father, Math - or "Mr T" as he was fondly known as, who immigrated to New Zealand from The Netherlands and opened the first jewellery and watch store in 1952.

Timmermans Jewellers have been operating in East Auckland for nearly 50 years, with the last 20+ years being based in Botany Town Centre.
